General Information to Know Before Booking An Appointment

Final healed results will vary with each client. Filling in with makeup as needed may still be required. Semi-Permanent makeup is not meant to replace true makeup but to enhance your natural look so that you either do not have to wear makeup or so you have an amazing guide when applying your makeup.

Longevity is NOT guaranteed and the artists at Inkk Studio have no control over results during the healing process. It is vital for the client to absolutely follow our after-care instructions. There are multiple factors that can affect healed results that we will have no control over such as lifestyle, underlying health issues, skin type, how you care for your new tattoo, skin products used etc.

After the initial appointment a 6 week follow up is scheduled. At this appointment we touch up color and make any adjustments necessary to the shape and/or density. Appointments working on the same area can be scheduled no quicker than 6 weeks apart, so the integrity of the skin is not compromised. “6 week” touch ups or “Perfecting” appointments are done up to 12 weeks after the initial appointment. Some rare occasions may require additional sessions (charged accordingly) to obtain desired results.

Care for All Procedures

Caring for your new permanent makeup or hairline/smp is important for obtaining the most desired results. We are so excited to work with you and give you a naturally enhanced look! In order to make sure you are fully prepared to come in, please be sure to follow these steps. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to email or call us.

Eye Brow Styling

Eyeliners and Eyebrows

Please feel free to draw or pencil in your brows how you normally would prior to your service. Do not worry about unruly eyebrows. We will make sure you leave with clean brows.

  • Discontinue use of any retinoids/retinol/Accutane/vitamin A or glycolic acids 2 weeks prior to service
  • You must wait 21 days after botox or filler treatments (it is best to get your brows done and be healed before any of these treatments as well.
  • Please do not consume alcohol or blood thinners 24 hours prior to your service.
  • If you are coming off of chemo therapy treatments, please obtain a letter from your doctor releasing you to do permanent makeup.
  • FOR EYELINER please have all of your eyelash extensions completely removed prior to this service. Eyelash extensions will cause extreme swelling and will be very painful.

  • Congratulations on having your new Eyebrows and/or Eyeliner and being on the way to a completely enhanced natural look with the least effort! Just as it was important that you follow the pre-care instructions, it’s also very important you follow the post-care to ensure the ink is properly absorbed and last as long as possible.
  • Lightly apply the ointment given to you at your visit. This should always be done very thin and never “goopy”. The more you apply and the thicker the ointment is will cause you to heal slower and can blur your permanent makeup.
  • Keep the are free from makeup or product during the healing process.
  • Please avoid applying soap and water directly to the area for the first 7 days after your treatment.
  • DO NOT pick at the healing skin on or around your tattoo. This is vital to healing and can cause you to scar if healing skin is forcefully separated before the skin is ready to shed.
  • Do not go swimming for 7 days after your procedure.
  • Avoid heavily sweating/saunas and tanning while healing.
  • If you plan on using mascara after your eyeliner procedure, please purchase a brand new tube prior to your treatment as your opened ones can contain debris and germs that could affect your healing.
Permanent Makeup

  • If you suffer from cold sores, you need to be taking Acyclovir at least 3 days prior to your appointment and continue to take it 3 days after your procedure.

  • Do not get laser light therapy, as it can darken/lighten or distort the pigment of the lip color
  • Do not use exfoliants, retinol acids, glycolic acids, and alpha-hydroxy acids on the area for 30 days after the appointment (causes premature fading)
  • *Lip Blush is meant to look natural and add a freshly tinted look.  It will not replace lipstick.
SMP Service

Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP)

  • A week before your scheduled procedure, only wash your scalp with a gentle, non-abrasive shampoo (we like Johnson and Johnson baby shampoo).
  • After cleansing the scalp, moisturize it to keep it well hydrated, only if needed, as too much oil on the scalp will not allow the pigment to absorb properly. A hydrated scalp will help the ink absorb.
  • Avoid sun exposure. Wear a loose-fitting hat or use sunscreen. We want as minimal peeling as possible.
  • Before coming in, be sure to have had solid sleep, and to eat a healthy, filling meal.
  • No alcohol 48 hours prior.
  • Avoid wearing any hairpieces a week prior to your treatment. 24 hours before your appointment, restrain from using a razor on your head.
  • Shave your head with a razor 2-3 days before your procedure, or with clippers set on size 0 the day of your procedure.
  • Just as you want a complete look of hair, we want to give that to you. Following these steps will help your scalp be healthy and prepared for the treatment. We want you to look your best and be happy with the results. Please be sure to do your part by following these easy steps!

Congratulations on having your treatment, being on the way to a complete look of hair! Just as it was important that you follow the pre-care instructions, it’s also very important you follow the post-care to ensure the ink is properly absorbed.

Be sure to follow the following steps after your treatment:

  • Refrain from touching the treated area. You could accidentally introduce bacteria which may cause infection. All throughout the healing process, be sure to drink plenty of clean water, and eat healthy meals.
  • For the first 3 days post-treatment, avoid letting anything touch your head. This includes shampoo, soap, water, and even sweat. Sweating could push out the ink from your head, so until the skin heals back over it’s extremely important that you avoid sweating. Avoid any kind of exercise and working out.
  • By the 4th day, antibiotic cream may be applied 2-3 times daily until the area has healed. By this time you can also shave by using an electric foil shaver. Be sure to avoid any scabs, and do not peel any off. You can also allow your head to get wet now but avoid any extreme temperatures. Still, avoid any shampoos or soaps on the head and be sure to pat dry. You can also start moisturizing again and may lightly sweat. However, we still suggest waiting until the skin is fully healed over before doing anything that would make you sweat.
  • It takes an average of 7-10 days for the skin to heal back over. Avoid rubbing or doing anything else that may bother the area. If you attempt to peel off or remove any crusting skin, you may accidentally also remove some of the deposited pigment or cause scarring. In the meantime avoid any swimming, hot tubs, sun, sauna or makeup. Staying indoors is best, in order to best protect your healing head.
  • Avoid sweating and getting your head dirty. We want it to stay as clean and dry as possible. After this time period has passed, you may start resuming washing your head as normal, and shaving. Just be sure there are no scabs and it is fully healed. By this time, you may exercise as much as you desire, and sweating will not be an issue.
  • After the first 30 days of your last treatment, swimming, saunas, and fake tans are okay.

Carefully following these steps will help ensure your healing and will keep the results of your sessions looking great!

The Following Are Advised Lifelong Rules To Live By

  • Moisturize regularly.
  • Avoid using any products that contain AHA, as it could fade the pigment.
  • If experiencing any swelling, itchiness, blistering or another issue on your scalp, stop using any products you are using. You may be having an allergic reaction. Call us and we may be able to suggest a different product for you.
